Konftec offers effective, non-invasive and pain-free low level laser therapy for laser acupuncture.
The most convenient way to treat diseases and conditions applying traditional acupuncture and modern laser technology; anytime, anywhere.
Selectable laser modalities for laser acupuncture applications.
Stimulus Intensity of Metal Needle v.s. Taping Laser
The hypothetical functional curve of stimulus intensity (SI) dependent upon the treatment time is shown as the right figure.
During manual, metal needle stimulation a nearly exponential maximum increase in O2Hb and an exponential decrease to a lower level than initially occurred.
The trend of O2Hb during laser acupuncture (taping laser) response remains plateau-like.

1) Energy loss is postulated to be linear at 7.5% per mm of tissue.
2) Treatment time is calculated by Monte Carlo Simulation method.

Treatment Time (second) = Dose (J/cm3) x 1000 x Laser Beam Spot Size (cm²)

End Power (mW) x Energy Loss Factor (/cm)

The above datas are calculated according to the conventional laser probe acupuncture.
To achieve De Qi effect (the sensation felt when an acupuncturist reaches the level of 'Qi' in the body), it is recommended to apply the taping laser with the minimum therapy time of 15 minutes.
